Alverstone Altitude Rush
A fun, family and team building event that puts participants through their paces along a +-6km obstacle course in the hills of Alverstone KZN. The event was inspired by a team of 3 outdoor-loving ladies and their love of other obstacle courses. The Alverstone Altitude Rush has bought a new dynamic to obstacle racing and is a first in the Upper Highway.
The Obstacle Course, which incorporates a minimum of 25 man-made and natural obstacles, is now in its third year and has seen many individuals, corporate teams, family teams and school teams giving their best over this fun but challenging course.
On the 13th October 2019, Roseway Waldorf School will be hosting the 3rd Annual Alverstone Altitude Rush Event!
Bigger and Better
The Alverstone Altitude Rush 2019 is expected to be bigger better – and dirtier, so be sure not to miss out on this awesome event.
The course entails climbing, swinging, crawling, jumping and balancing. The motto is: ‘Run, climb, crawl, jump, push and pull your way through this fun-filled obstacle course’. Sing and dance through the mud pits. Push and crawl your way through the squeeze obstacles. Swing through the Roseway monkey jungle. Jump, run or hop up and down the Polo Pony Hydration Station and much more. The entire course is designed for spectators to be able to follow their family and friends throughout the course and enjoy the fun with them!
This year welcomes a new section to the rush, inviting all schools to an inter-school challenge. Schools may enter a team and stand the chance to win the floating trophy.
Whether you choose to go solo, or to share it with your friends or team, there is a category to suit you all.

Want exposure for your business at the event? Purchase an obstacle for R500, decorate it, brand it, name it! Not only do you get your very own branded obstacle but your business will also benefit from social media advertising as well as on the school newsletter. Sponsors may also hand out your flyers & promotional items to the spectators and even set up a stall to promote your business!
Registration starts at 8am and the races start off with the open individuals batch at 9am. Come and support the participants and experience a great day out in a beautiful setting. We hope to see you all there!
